Have you had a chance to dine at one of the restaurants participating in this year's Wine and Dine in Thompason Okanagan running January 14th until February 1st 2009 ?
Food and wine Connoiseurs absolutely love this Wine and Dine event because they can try carefully selected menu items at various restaurants paired with Okanagan wineries and try selected wines that go with special menus. You can enjoy a special 3-course dinner for $15, $25 or $35 (excluding tax and gratuity) at participating restaurants. Check out some of my favourite restaurants:
1. Da Tandoor : This year at Da Tandoor you can sample Samosas, rich Indian Curries like Chicken Heryali, Goa Curry or Lamb Madras and delicious dessert for only $25.
2. Wild Apple Restaurant and Lounge at Manteo Resort: If you want to treat your lady to a really fancy and high end dinner then take her to Wild Apple Restaurant and I am sure she will be delighted to try special items like duck and prawns.
3. Want to try some sea food ? Visit Eclectic Med located in Vernon (2915, 30th Ave.)The specials at Eclectic Med include: Alaskan Snow Crab Cake, Coffee Rubbed Breast of Duck, Creme Brulee etc.
4. Yamas Greek Restaurant is offering $15, $25 and $35 menus which I think is perfect for couples who don't want to go overboard and spend too much on a meal but still want to enjoy some good food and wine.
5. Many Kelowna residents will agree with me if I say that Moxies Classic Grill is one of the best restaurants in Kelowna and there Wine and Dine menu has a lot to offer the guests. You can choose to try chicken, salmon or steak entree and finish your dinner with a bite of brownie.

MOXIES!! That is definately not one of the best restaurants in Kelowna. And the bite of Browine is so small they could have given a better desert.
A blogging guide to the city of Kelowna, BC and the surrounding Okanagan Valley.

moxies? really? I'm going to Kelowna for the first time this weekend, excited by the prospect of being there during this Wine and Dine but if MOXIES is one of the best restaurants in Kelowna, I'm going to bring my own chex mix to nourish myself while I'm there!
