A Kelowna Resident in Las Vegas

There is no comparison between Kelowna and Las Vegas. Although, both are a class apart, they both have their own charm. Kelowna is a lovely lake community and Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world.

So, what happens when a Kelowna resident ends up in Vegas? Does he crave for home or is Vegas like a home away from home? In Kelowna, it will take you half an hour to 45 minutes to go from one corner of the city to the other whereas if you get stuck in the traffic in Vegas, it will take you 45 minutes to go from one end of the strip to the other. Natural beauty of Kelowna is unbeatable but you won't find variety of sights, sounds and colours of vegas anywhere else in the world.

In Vegas, you might not find your neighborhood Tim Hortons but there are some very cool cafes especially in the Hotel Paris .If you miss Indian food from Dawett and Chutney, try Gay Lord ( located in Rio) or Tamba ( At the Hawaiian Market).

While back home, there are local artisans to keep you entertained, in Vegas you'll find the best of the world.If you end up staying in Vegas for more than 7 days and you start missing Lake Okanagan..Well, you'll miss it for a while until you catch the next flight home.
