A look at Kelowna real estate

kelowna_homes.jpgI consider people owing homes in Kelowna as lucky because they are living in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Although lots of people would like to buy property in Kelowna, it is not easy to own a house here because of the high property prices. I had mentioned this fact in one of my previous posts about Kelowna Real Estate.

Recent published articles from the Leader-Post in Regina and CNW both of which reiterated the fact that although desirable, property in Kelowna is expensive.

One of the most expensive spots in Canada, Okanagan Lake is the playground of many hockey players and celebrities. A small waterfront condo of approximately 900 square feet can start at $500,000, while the more typical year-round waterfront properties sell from $1 million and up. The recreational lifestyle and great climate is a big attraction. For example, in April you can ski in the morning, golf in the afternoon and be cruising in your boat at the early evening - all in the same day.
In the "hot spot'' category, Okanagan Lake at Kelowna, B.C., boasts year-round waterfront properties selling anywhere from $1 million to $5 million.
