An Evening at Queensway, Kelowna

As the sun goes down and the black night approaches, groups of teenagers start gathering at the Queensway. No, it's not a party time: It's the time to catch a bus and go home.

Queensway is the major bus stop in downtown Kelowna and after 6.00 pm the frequency of the buses going to various parts of the town decrease. You can also see people getting off from work at 5.00 pm, standing at their specific bus stop and waiting for the right bus. Some students can be seen smoking or chatting on their cell phones to kill time while they are waiting, young lovers can be seen hugging and departing with a sigh but with a promise in the eyes to meet the next day and security officers taking a casual stroll and keeping an eye to make sure nothing goes wrong at the queens way station.

Once in a while, you will notice a young lady running towards her bus which is about to leave any moment because she knows if she misses this one, she will have to wait half an hour to catch the next one.
