Book Lover's Paradise

Whether you want to read the latest James Patterson novel, just browse through some autobiographies, need chicken soup for married women or want to pick a children's story book, there's no better place to go than the Okanagan regional library in downtown Kelowna. Located on 1380 Ellis street, this library is the largest in the city and truly a book lover's paradise. Besides vast collection of books on a variety of topics, this branch boasts a computer lab where free computer classes are offered to adults. These computers can be used by anyone and provide access to Internet and basic Microsoft applications.

During my first visit to this library, I was surprised to discover the bilingual books section which included books not only in popular languages like French and Spanish but also in less popular languages like Hindi. I enjoy spending a quiet afternoon in the magazines section of the library checking out the latest editions of my favourite magazines and browsing through the latest books on the shelf. I have often considered joining the book club to discuss my latest reads. If you have too many books piled up on your bookshelf and would like to share them with fellow readers then you can donate a few of them to the library.

The Okanagan regional library has 29 branches all over the region. In Kelowna itself there are several other branches located in different parts of the city like 1430- K.L.O road, 301 Highway 33 and 4105 Gordon Drive. Okanagan regional libraries are simply the heaven for curious minds.
