Camping in Thompson Okanagan

IMG_2927%20%28Medium%29.JPG With summers being in full swing, camping is the best thing to do on weekends especially if you are visiting British Columbia or a resident here. British Columbia especially the Okanagan has some outstanding campsites. I am not a big time camper but I thoroughly enjoy it whenever the opportunity presents itself. Last weekend I camped at the KOA Campground in Clearwater and believe me, it was a very rejuvenating experience. This campground is in a lovely park-like setting with lots of woods and spacious sites and boasts a heated outdoor pool, laundromat, convenience store, fire pits, Internet, a volleyball court and a seasonal restaurant (although I wouldn't recommend it as it is quite expensive, instead check out Dairy Queen or other local restaurants near the campsite.)

Other Popular campsites in the region include:

1. Christina Lake : Christina Pines Campground and Cascade Cove
2. Enderby: Mabel Lake Resort Golf and Airpark
3. Vernon: Dutch's Campground and Gold Planner
4. Summerland: Summerland Campground and RV park
5. Sicamous: Cedars Campground
