Celebrating 2011 New Year's Eve in the Okanagan

On December 31st, Big White Ski resort will be buzzing with New Year’s celebrations. You can take your family to the resort to celebrate New year's eve together in style at Happy Valley. The activities will start from 6 pm and will include kids games, music, dancing and fun for everyone. Vernon's Silver Star Mountain Resort with its Victorian inspired village has holiday events planned for you throughout the holiday season but New Year's Eve will be extra special. Be slopeside at the end of the Silverstar Mountain Village no later than 8:30pm to get a good spot to take in the Glo-Stick and Torchlight Parade.The guests will get to enjoy a beautiful lightwork. More than 100 flares will light up the face of the mountain and will dance to the music. Afterwards the sky will light up with an awesome Fireworks Show. Night skiing will conclude at 7.30pm on New Years Eve due to the torchlight parade.
