Centennial Celebrations by Okanagan Symphony

It is a well known fact that 'The Okanagan Symphony is the third largest professional Symphony Orchestra in British Columbia' and it has been entertaining Okanagan residents and tourists from all over the world with symphonic music since 1960. Now, if you enjoy Symphony music then don't miss Okanagan Symphony's centennial celebrations. Penticton recognizes the achievements of a century and Okanagan Symphony is celebrating their Centennial with an abundance of Mozart's jubilant musicand Penticton's own guest artists.

The OSO contributes to the festivities with a new work by the City's Ernst Schneider. Penticton native Steven Philcox returns to enchant audience with one of Mozart's sparkling piano concert.Guest Artists include: Steven Philcox (piano); Vocal Soloists John David Jasper & Jenavieve Moore; Penticton Centennial Chorus. Symphony No. 35, Haffner; Mozart arias; Premiere of new work by Ernst Schneider.

The show schedule is as follows: Kelowna Community Theatre on Friday, Nov. 21st 2008 at 8 pm followed by Penticton's Cleland Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 22nd 2008 at 7:30pm. In case you miss those then visit
Vernon Performing Arts Centre on Sunday, Nov. 23rd 2008 at 7pm.
