Last week, I went to Da Tandoor with some friends to try fusion Indian Cuisine and realized that Da Tandoor is run by the same person who owns Dawett and Chutney Restaurant ( both offering delicious Indian Cuisine) in Kelowna. Unlike, Dawett and Chutney- food at Da Tandoor was a little different. I tried Chicken Makhni and Lamb masala and both were really good. All the entrees are served with Nan and prices are reasonable.
Da Tandoor also offers delicious vegetarian entrees which are worth a try. My other favourites at Da Tandoor include: Vegtable Goa Curry ( vegetables cooked with a unique blend of coconut cream and fresh cilantro) and Zafrani Kofta ( Cottage Cheese dumplings stuffed with raisins and Saffron flavoured in almond and tomato gravy). However, I was disappointed with the desserts which I think were not as good as the entrees.
Da Tandoor is located on 237 Lawrence Avenue, Kelowna, B.C. Phone- 869-4809. Kelowna residents know that parking can become challenging in downtown Kelowna so Da tandoor offers free parking to the guests in parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. Da Tandoor is opened seven days a week and also offers lunch specials.

I had some takeout from this place. I was violently ill from it for the rest of the evening. It's now the next day, I'm still not feeling right and this place has been wasting my time over a refund for about 5 hours. First the head honcho was out of town... Then he was in a meeting elsewhere... I wonder where he'll be when I seek him out again in an hour. I will never eat at any of these places ever again.

We have gone to Da Tandoor several times for lunch, actually craved it. But today we went and the food was no where near as good as before.
The fact that there was no one else in the restaurant on a Friday lunch hour is a good indicator that things have changed.
The chicken dish "Coconut Chicken" seemed like the meat was anything BUT chicken so tough that when I tried to cut it with my knife it flew off the plate and all over my shirt.
Sad!
