Downtown Kelowna Christmas light up

One of my favourite holiday event is the Downtown Kelowna Christmas Light-Up. This year, it will be held on Saturday, November 27th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with tons of free family-friendly events and activities at the Memorial Arena (family skate from 3 pm to 5 pm), Kelowna Art Gallery (plate painting), the Laurel Packinghouse (cookie decorating, holiday marketplace and horse drawn wagon rides) and Kerry Park (live entertainment, hot chocolate-cookies and lighting up of the community tree) as well as craft sale at Centre Culturel Francais de l'Okanagan (located on 702 Bernard Avenue).

If you bring a donation for the Food Bank to Kerry Park from 5-7pm then you can pull a surprise gift certificate off the Gonzo Magazine Charitree too.

Light-Up events in downtown Kelowna will also include fun activities happening at the Towne Centre Mall(located on 565 Bernard Avenue) on Saturday, November 27th 2010, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. You can expect to find young fiddlers Chloe, Kyle & Co., face painting, children’s crafts and treats, pianist Heather David and magician Leif David.

So, join your fellow Kelowna residents along with your family for some free Christmas holiday fun. For more information, call 250.862.3515
