First week of December in Kelowna

IMG_2448%20%28Small%29.JPG It's the last month of the year and Kelowna is really getting cold. It has started getting dark late in the afternoons at about 3.45 pm to 4.00 pm. It was snowing this past weekend and Kelowna residents could be seen clearing, shoveling and hauling snow but the snow blanket that covered Kelowna on 1st Dec is all melted now and the roads have been cleared of all snow.

However, since yesterday it has been raining and it is really slushy everywhere. The average temperature in Kelowna today was 4 degree celsius with relative humidity of about 93 %. The visibility for driving on the roads is quiet poor. I have been trying my best to avoid going outside as much as I can and I have been telling my husband that I should get rid of my old shoes and get some new snow shoes.

Now is the time to take out your big, warm winter jacket and also, if you have not put the winter tires on your car then you'd better do it before it is too late.
