Genjie Restaurant in Kelowna: Japanese Cuisine

I had a delicious meal at Genjies Restaurant located on 102-1873 Spall Road,
in Kelowna (Ph: 250 869-0852). This elegant Japanese restaurant reflects the cultural diversity one can experience in Kelowna's cuisine. The location of this restaurant is not that great. If it would have been at a more prominent place ( e.g. downtown Kelowna) it would have been even more popular. Although the restaurant looks quite fancy, it is appropriate for casual dining experience. My husband was impressed by the ambience which consisted of dark brown decor and dim over hanging lights. In one word, it can be described as 'simply awesome.'

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal which consisted of vegetable tempuras and Philadelphia rolls ( popularly known as philly rolls/ a kind of shushi.) inspite of the fact that service was very slow. Genjies Restaurant also has some tempting lunch specials(reasonably priced) and several varieties of mouth watering shushi's. It is definitely one of the finest Japanese Restaurants in Kelowna. So all you shushi lovers head over to Genjies.

Me and a couple of friends have been to Genjie's together a few times and there is always this one short, stubby blonde girl who was just flat out loud and annoying. The food is always great but we found ourselves tempted to ask to switch servers whenever she'd serve us. She seems like she lacks experience and treats us and other customers like they are "just another customer."
I am never coming back, unless they fire her. I can't believe the restaurant management would allow a person like that to be a server. Very upsetting.
