Goodnight Desdemona (Good morning Juliet) play by Theatre Kelowna Society

Theatre Kelowna Society's Ozone Festival Play "Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet)" will be showcased at Okanagan College Theatre (located on 1000 KLO road, Kelowna) from May 7-16, 2009 to charm the audience. One of the reason's to go and watch the show is that it's the winner of Governor General's Literary award for Drama. The show will be held in the afternoon at 2.00 pm on May 10th and 16th and evenings at 7.30 pm.

In this exuberant revision of Shakespeare’s Othello and Romeo and Juliet, Constance Ledbelly, a mousey academic, is transported into the plays themselves. She meets Juliet and Desdemona, has a hand in saving them from death and finds out that they are not the passive victims or doomed innocents she expected. With an abundance of twists, fights, dances, seductions and wild surprises, the play is an absolute joy.
