Harlem Globe Trotters Dazzle Kelowna Residents

Last Thursday, Harlem Globe Trotters were visiting the city to charm Kelowna residents with their basketball moves. They not only showed some impressive skills but also shared jokes with the audience. There was lot of audience involvement and participation in their tricks. Prospera place was crowded with people of all ages but majority was families with young kids.

The GlobeTrotters played their usual rival, the Washington Generals. The Generals actually played a strong gamed until about the 3rd quarter when the GlobeTrotter's captain, "Special K" scored 4 straight dunks to lead the team back to victory. Of course much of this was done in anticipation of a close finish but I think everyone knew at the end that the Harlem Globetrotters would pull through.

A lot of souvenirs were being sold to the guests. During the breaks, kids would gather around shopping booth to get t-shirts or sports goods and to get their pictures clicked with globe trotters mascot. All in all it was a good family fun event.
