Jake's Gift by Sunshine Theatre Company

Sunshine Theatre Company (part of Rotary Centre for the arts located at 421 Cawston Avenue, Kelowna ) will be presenting some interesting shows before Kelowna audience in 2009. You will be entertained by an award winning comedy drama called Jake's gift- Juno Productions from January 13th until January 17th 2009 at Mary Irwin Theatre.

Jake's gift is written and produced by Julia Mackey and will be performed everyday at 8.00 pm. On January 17th there is a matinee show too at 2.00 pm.

Jake’s gift is an award winning comedy-drama that tells the story of a WWII veteran who reluctantly returns to Normandy, France, for the 60th Anniversary of D-Day. While walking on the beach he landed on sixty years earlier, Jake meets Isabelle, a precocious 10 year old from the local village, whose inquisitive nature and charm challenge the old soldier to face some long ignored ghosts. At its heart, Jake’s Gift is about the healing power of friendship and the legacy of remembrance.
