Kelowna celebrates Clean Air day

Gas prices are soaring high so let's say good bye to our cars for a day ( I know it could be a little inconvenient) and celebrate Clean Air Day.

Individual action to protect the air and reduce greenhouse gases is the focus of Clean Air Day, on the first Wednesday in June every year. Clean Air Day started out as a provincial event, in 1992, but has since become a national day. It is marked by other provinces, as well
.
This year, Clean Air Day will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 4th.. All citizens of Central Okanagan can enjoy FREE rides on transit all day to and from work/school by simply telling the driver that it is CLEAN AIR DAY. Also, complimentary continental breakfast will be served from 7.00 am to 9.00 pm to all Transit riders on three 'Breakfast Buses' located at Orchard Park, Queensway and Westbank Transit Stations.

Let's take responsibility towards our environment and make clean air choices.
