Kelowna-Zambia partnership project

What could be a better way to start a new year other than making a resolution to make a difference in someone's life. This initiative is being taken by VIDEA ( Victoria International Development Education Association) and Women for Change in Africa. The Kelowna Senanga partnership group is working with above two associations to link Kelowna with the district of Senanga, Zambia.

Check out the details below:

We are a grassroots group creating a platform to “partner” Kelowna with Senanga (a district in Zambia) in order to engage in mutual sharing, learning, and friendship; aiming to improve lives in both of our communities. Our backgrounds and interests include but are not limited to: communications, health, water quality, business, and international development. We are committed to action and empowerment for all.

We are an independent, non-profit working group in association with VIDEA, and supported by CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency) and our own fundraising efforts.

The Kelowna - Zambia partnership will also be working in association with Women for Change, an indigenous Zambian NGO whose goals include empowering remote rural communities, especially women, to contribute towards sustainable development and the eradication of all forms of poverty.

We can make a difference in life of someone in Zambia by donating just one dollar to the local Kelowna- Zambia partnership.
