K-town classic by Kelowna Cycle

Kelowna Cycle (one of Kelowna's premier bike shop) located on 103-2949 Pandosy Street is presenting 2008 BC Cup Road Race on August 2nd and 3rd 2008. There will be three challenging stages over two days in this competition.

The K-town classic will begin at 8.00 am on Saturday, August 2nd 2008 with a hill climb on Knox Mountain. It will be followed by criterium in Lake Country around the old Hiram Walker distillery on Saturday afternoon around 2.00 pm. The final stage will involve the road race on August 3rd at 8.00 am starting at the East Kelowna Elementary School . The course will be a hilly and twisty 13.1 km loop around the scenic orchards of East Kelowna with 250 m of elevation gain per lap and a slightly uphill, straight finish.

Participants can win upto $5000 in cash and prizes. This event is an Omnium - with points awarded in each event. Cash and prizes will be awarded to the overall top 5 point winners and top 3 individual stage winners. Now, that sounds like lot of fun. Isn't it? So, come out and cheer for your favourite athletes in this year's K-town classic by Kelowna Cycle.
