Mardi Gras Festival in Kelowna

It's that time of the year when Kelowna residents come downtown to celebrate a popular downtown street festival called 'Mardi Gras Street Festival.' Downtown Kelowna Association is hosting 21st annual Mardi Gras Street Festival on Saturday, August 8th 2009 starting at 11.00 am and continuing till 5.00 pm.

Mardi Gras showcases the best of downtown retailers,restaurants, pubs & cafes and is predicted to have about 15,000 guests. I love the entertainment stages which operate all throughout the day. The guests can also enjoy a huge kid’s zone, a fashion show featuring downtown fashion retailers, street performers, local artists, sidewalk sales etc. The festivities will take place along Bernard avenue so it will be closed for traffic from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm.

So, if you haven't got any plans for Saturday, August 8th then head down to Bernard Avenue in downtown Kelowna and join us to celebrate Mardi Gras Street festival.
