Men with a Purpose: Almost a Centennial of Canadian Military Aviation

The Okanagan Military Museum is organizing a presentation called 'Men with a Purpose: Almost a Centennial of Canadian Military Aviation' on September 10th 2009 at the Okanagan Military museum(located on 1424 Ellis Street in downtown Kelowna) from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm. This presentation is part of the Summer Lecture Series and will be presented by special guest speaker Stéphane Guevremont, a former aircraft mechanic with the Canadian aeronautical industry.

Stéphane has worked and taught at universities, museums, and flight centres in Ontario, Quebec, and Alberta. He holds a CEGEP Degree in Aircraft Maintenance, a BA in History from McGill University, and a civilian MA in War Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada, Kingston.

Stephane Guevremont's lecture coincides with the Okanagan Military Museum's exhibit on 100 Years of Powered Flight in Canada. The admission to the event is absolutely free but you may donate money as per your wish. For more information call 250-763-9292 or visit: Kelowna Museums.ca
