Movies under the stars in Okanagan

Have you ever dreamed of watching movies under the stars ? If yes, then you must visit 'Starlight Drive-In' which is located on Highway 97 A , just south of Enderby and is quiet easy to locate. Enderby is only about an hour from Kelowna and half an hour from Vernon and Salmon Arm. The Starlight Drive-In is claimed to be North America's largest drive-in screen. The screen is said to be 6000 square feet, stands 15 feet off the ground and is 50 feet high by 120 feet wide.

You can watch two great shows for a price of one. Movies are broadcasted in FM Stereo directly in guest's car's radio @ 106.9 FM. Since any FM Radio can pick up the movie's soundtrack, people are advised to bring an extra radio, walkman or boombox in case they plan to sit outside or if the car radio does not have FM.

This week starting from July 13 up until July 19, Evan Almighty and Surf's up are playing in Starlight Drive-In. General tickets can be purchased for $8/ person and for children 4-12, it's only $5. One of my co-workers is planning to take her girl friend to Starlight Drive In for a date. I think it's a good idea. I would love to watch the upcoming movie 'Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix' under the stars.

So, if you want to buy tickets or want to know more about upcoming shows then visit:
