Myra Canyon Half Day Tours by Kelowna Museums

It's a good idea to explore a little bit of our history this summer. The Kelowna Museums are offering guided tours of the newly restored Myra Canyon trestles , the UBC Okanagan Archaeology and History Field School.

The field school is working to uncover the work sites and camp sites of the men who built the engineering feat known as the Kettle Valley Railway almost a century ago and you can participate in a half day tour on July 25th, August 1st or August 8th. Maurice Williams, Associate Professor of History at UBCO, and Richard Garvin, Associate Professor of Anthropology, will give an overview of the excavation work and then Kelowna Museums guide will lead guests on a tour and historical overview of the trestles.

These half day tours are scheduled from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and are priced at $20/person or $15/person for Kelowna Museum members.

For more information or to book a spot on a tour, please call (250) 868-4836.
