Okanagan Indian Band

The Okanagan Indian Band is a First Nations government located in the city of Vernon in the Okanagan valley and have contributed a lot over the past few years towards community development in different fields.The Okangan Indian Band believes in ensuring future through cultural, social and economic development. They provide services and facilities in health care, social services, land development, early childhood education etc. They also offer ample employment opportunities in different departments.

The Okanagan Indian Band is part of the Okanagan Nation, which is comprised of 7 Indian Bands, including; Lower Similkameen Indian Band, Upper Similkameen Indian Band, Osoyoos Indian Band, Penticton Indian Band, Westbank First Nation, Upper Nicola Indian Band and the Okanagan Indian Band. There are currently about 1688 Okanagan Indian Band members.
