Paws for a Cause in Kelowna

On Sunday, September 9th 2007 – 37 communities in and around Kelowna in British Columbia will witness the largest campaign in support of animals. This campaign has been given a catchy name ‘Paws for a Cause’ and is an exciting fundraising event for animals. It has been organized by BCSPCA and Scotiabank. Other organizers include Wal-mart, Interior Savings, Okanagan’s very own CHBC television, Capital News, Kelowna Land and Orchid Company, Quality Greens Farm Market etc. Anyone can become a paws for a cause crusader and raise money for the animals along with a chance to win fabulous prizes.

Can you guess the prize for the winner? Well, the top BC pledge collector will win 5 nights vacation for two people at the Coast Maui Hotel in Kihei,Maui plus $1,000 Canadian dollars spending money-courtesy of the coast hotels and resorts. There are many other prizes and gifts that can be won. On the day of the event 3km dog walk will begin at 10.00 am in Mission Creek Park- Springfield Road.
