RCMP Cops ride to raise money for kids

Lets encourage and cheer for RCMP officers who are participating in the Cops for Kids Charitable Foundation Ride to raise funds to help support children with mental, physical and emotional crisis in the Southern Interior of British Columbia. This charity ride started with a kick-off breakfast on Friday,September 11, 2009 in Kelowna with twenty-six riders and seven support crew embarking on a cycling fundraising journey to benefit B.C. children in crisis.

The ten-day trek takes riders to over 18 communities in the Okanagan and Kooteney Region. This is a labour of love for the dedicated riders who participate. They endure many grueling kilometers and suffer may aches and pains, all to raise much needed awareness and funds to support children in mental, physical and emotional crisis. The Cops for Kids fundraising efforts do not stop when the ride ends but continue with a variety of events through out the South East District all year long.
