Rod Stewart show in Kelowna: Hit or Miss?

A lot of my friends went to Rod Stewart show at city park in Kelowna this past weekend and many of them are not happy with the show organizers. More than 8000 people attended this show. Hmm.. I wonder what went wrong? I've been hearing things like: rowdy crowd, mismanaged event, poorly organized, no security, no 50: 50 draw, no proper seating, long line up for the beer garden,

Now isn't most of that stuff common during big events like this? I guess when you pay over $150/ticket, you'd expect a great experience and anything less would be disappointing. So, am I hearing that the tickets were overpriced or was choosing the outdoor location a bad idea for legendary Rod Stewart show? I'll let the audience decide that.

Let's look at the brighter side. Rod Stewart was as mesmerizing as ever. He enthralled the crowd (or atleast the most of it) and his fans still love him. For many, this was once in a life time opportunity. Hopefully Kelowna will see better events and many other talented artists in the future and organizers (Jameslee production and Debra Cameron) will learn from their mistakes.
