Upcoming Kelowna Community Theater Events

There have been times when I wanted to buy tickets for a show but I would leave it till the last minute because I wouldn't be sure if I would be able to make it or not and then by the time I would be ready to buy a ticket, all tickets would have been sold. I am sure all of us have taken these kind of chances in our lives.

However, when we really want to secure a spot or want to see a show, we make reservations in advance. For all my online ticket purchases, I always go to ticketmaster. For e.g. one of my co-workers who is a theater lover has recently purchased tickets for ' The Old Time Music Hall ' being presented by Theater Kelowna at 1435 Water Street on Sept 6th 2007 at about 7.30 pm. The Old Time Music Hall is all about Music, Comedy, and Melodrama from the Victorian Gaslight era. Tickets are on sale now for $18 - $20. Check out Theater Kelowna for more information. Another upcoming event in Kelowna that caught my eye is ' Stu Goldberg & Cassius Khan: Jazz Meets India show.' Tickets are on sale now starting $27 and performance will be showcased at Kelowna Community Theater on Nov 3rd 2007 at 8.00 pm.

Ther performers of this show are outstanding. Stu Goldberg is the former keyboardist with the Mahavishnu Orchestra, John McLaughlin, Wayne Shorter & others, a film/TV composer of "The Amazing Race", & a record producer with his own studio. If that's not enough, let me tell you that Cassius Khan, who toured with Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Ellen McIlwaine and Dave Martone, is a master performer and exponent of Ghazal Gayaki, an important genre of Indian classical singing and is the only professional performing artist in the world who can execute highly skilled Tabla compositions and sing Ghazals simultaneously. It would be amazing to see this wonderful collaboration of different artists.
