Upcoming summer events in Kelowna

If you thought Wake Fest was the only thing happening in Kelowna this July then you have to check out the following events and get ready for some more fun:

1. On July 12th OSTEC ( Okanagan Science and Technology council) is organizing 2007 Summer in the Silicon Vineyard BBQ event.

The Okanagan Science & Technology Council (OSTEC), a membership driven organization, fosters an environment that supports science and technology initiatives by acting as a representative and advocate for the interests of members and the business community as a whole

If you decide to attend this event , you will not only have a chance to mingle with other OSTEC members from across the Okanagan Valley but also to enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Okanagan. It will be held on 'The Grand Okanagan Terrace' from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

2. If you are fan of classic rock legend 'John Fogarty' then buy tickets for his show to be held at Prospera Place on July 31st at 7.30 pm.

3. If you are fond of English Literature and happen to like Shakespeare like me then don't miss
"Much Ado about Nothing" being presented by Shakespeare Kelowna and Summerhill Pyramid Winery at The Vintage Terrace Stage at Summerhill Pyramid Winery on July 18 , 19 & 22, 2007 and on July 25, 26 & 29, 2007 at about 7:00 pm.

4. If you are a good swimmer then challenge yourself and get ready for the 59th annual 'Across The Lake Swim' to be held on July 14 at 8.30 am. You can also win some medals in this fun event.
