Wells Gray Park in Clearwater

IMG_2960%20%28Medium%29.JPGClearwater is situated 300 km North West of Kelowna and boasts one of the most beautiful parks in all of British Columbia, Wells Gray Park. The drive is gorgeous and you pass through scenic towns such as Vernon, Falkland and Monte Creek. While I was in Clearwater this past weekend I knew I had to make time to check out at least one of the spectacular waterfalls at Wells Gray.

11 km away from the KOA campground where we were staying at was a waterfall called Spahat Falls. The Spahat Falls area is maintained very well with fencing all along the edges as well a lookout point, perfect for viewing the Falls as they crash down to the river below. The falls are actually located below the lookout point which is over 150 feet in height. The elevation actually allows one to view the entire valley, which to me, was absolutely phenomenal. So if you're in the Clearwater, you absolutely must make 20 minutes to drive and experience Spahat Falls.
