Westside Family Winterfest

snowman-01t.gif Christmas is only a month away and everyone is gearing up for it. The Okanagan residents seem to be excited about the holidays and spending time with the family. A lot of family events are being organized in the region to encourage the holiday mood and ' Westside Family Winterfest ' is one such event.

The Regional District of Central Okanagan is organizing this event at Mt. Boucherie Community Centre and Jim Lind Arena/ Royal Lepahe Place which is located on 2760 Cameron Road, Westside. Westside Family Winterfest will start at 10 am and will continue till 4 pm on Sunday, December 2nd.

The attractions of this year's Westside Family Winterfest include: free public skating, live entertainment, craft stations, curling, free hot dogs and Christmas treats ( courtesy- Save on foods and Tim Hortons) and a chance to meet the Santa. Santa is scheduled to arrive by firetruck ( unlike traditional reindeers) at 11.30 am. Although the admission to the event is free, non-perishable donation to the food bank will be gratefully accepted.

So, get your family ready, take your camera and capture the spirit of the season at Westside Family Winterfest.
